Biography:
Taz, also known as the Tasmanian Devil, is a cartoon character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He is characterized by his ferocious appetite, unintelligible speech (often consisting of growls, snarls, and roars), and the ability to spin around at incredibly high speeds, creating a vortex.

Taz first appeared in the cartoon short "Devil May Care" in 1954, directed by Robert McKimson. Initially, Warner Bros. only intended for Taz to appear in that one cartoon, but audience response was so positive that he was brought back for several more shorts and eventually became a regular member of the Looney Tunes ensemble.

The Tasmanian Devil's popularity led to his inclusion in various Looney Tunes merchandise, TV shows, and movies. He is instantly recognizable for his wild and destructive personality and is considered one of the most iconic characters from the Warner Bros. cartoon stable.
